Four starting points
Journeys beginning in 1995, 2007, 2014 and 2021 put different people, pressures and historical circumstances at the center of the story.

The game
Journeys beginning in 1995, 2007, 2014 and 2021 put different people, pressures and historical circumstances at the center of the story.
Money, trust, timing and the choice to wait or move create consequences beyond the next scene. A ledger keeps the practical weight of the journey visible.
The story continues into work, rent, school and the courts. Reaching a destination is not the end of the decisions a family must make.
Authored 3D dioramas move through shelters, freight yards, desert routes, homes and civic spaces. The presentation keeps attention on people and their choices.
Read the situation, the people and the resources available.
Decide who to trust, what to spend and when to move.
Carry the consequences into the next chapter and the years ahead.
Border Trail is an upcoming Steam narrative simulation following four journeys across Mexico and the United States. Watch the development trailer and explore its story, choices and consequences.
Border Trail follows different family stories across three decades. Maribel and Rudy begin during the 1995 peso crisis; Tomas travels north in 2007; Chuy carries his documents and responsibilities in 2014; Elena faces a different set of restrictions in 2021. Each starting point changes the context of the journey.
The current narrative structure moves from the road through Mexico to waiting and working near the border, then into the long process of building a life in Arizona. Choices are supported by simulation rather than separated from it: resources, relationships and earlier decisions affect what comes next.
The game uses readable scenes, on-screen narrative and environmental sound rather than spectacle. Its subject includes loss, detention and family separation. These are serious themes, and the intended experience leaves space for uncertainty rather than reducing every outcome to a simple victory.
The road to release
We are building Border Trail for a future Steam release. The footage reflects a work in progress. Final features, requirements and launch timing will be shared as development advances.
Its focus is narrative choice, survival decisions and long-term consequences. It is a single-player story-driven simulation.
The story includes migration, violence, loss, detention and family separation. The project does not rely on graphic gore, but its subject matter can be distressing.
Yes. A Steam release is planned when development is complete. No release date, public store link or final system requirements have been announced here.
